Dougie graduated from Middlesex University, London in 2016 with a degree in Solo Performance. Since then they have performed stand-up in various well known venues and clubs, including Downstairs at the Kings Head, Punch Up and Glitter, TNT Comedy and Homojen Hommaa. In 2021 they wrote and performed their solo show Gothic Ray of Sunshine at Loukko, Helsinki.
Alongside comedy, Dougie has published journalist articles on various gaming websites, mainly focusing on feminism and LGBT representation in gaming culture. Their debut novel My Best Rival is was published in late 2023 by Spectrum Books.
